Our Story
Cherub’s Crumble was born from Zenta’s love of cooking, creativity, and, most importantly…custard!
Inspired by the dessert bars and artisan sweet spots she discovered overseas, Zenta wanted to bring that same magic home to Melbourne. Together with her partner Jack, she created Cherub’s as a place where people could slow down, share a spoon, and celebrate the simple joy of dessert done right.
For Zenta, desserts are never just food, they’re a way to bring people together, spark nostalgia, and make the everyday feel a little more special.
Her obsession with custard (we’re talking drink-it-from-the-glass level love) inspired Cherub’s bottomless custard policy, because life really is sweeter that way. Every crumble cup is made with care, creativity, and local ingredients, crafted to taste as good as it looks, and remind you that there’s always time for something sweet.
At Cherub’s, we like to have a little fun with dessert.
From crumble served in mini pumpkins for Halloween, to pandan-twisted banana pudding inspired by New York’s iconic Magnolia Bakery, we’re always dreaming up ways to surprise you. You’ll find crumble nestled in pavlova cups, layers of custard, toppings galore! Scoops of ice cream, pistachio drizzle, berries, and more.
Because pretty desserts taste even better when they’re made with heart.
Every crumble is baked by hand with care, using real ingredients like high-quality vanilla beans and locally sourced produce. It’s dessert that’s authentic, joyful, and made to be shared, the kind that feels like a warm hug (with a custard chaser, of course).
